For example, we collect information when you create an account, use the Services to post a confession (a “Tangentree”), request customer support or otherwise communicate with us. Please keep in mind that if your username contains your real name or is the same as how you identify yourself on other online services, people who see it may determine your identity.

When you post or interact with a Tangentree, we also temporarily collect, process and store the contents of the Tangentrees on our servers. We cannot prevent others from making copies of your Tangentree (e.g., by taking a photo using a camera or alternative measures of screenshot capabilities). All Tangentrees and comments are public and are publicly displayed (for information about deletion of Tangentrees, please see “Your Choices” below). They may be viewed, shared and modified by our users, us and others for commercial or personal purposes (consistent with the rights and licenses in our Terms of Use). Please keep in mind that if you include information that could identify you in the text of a Tangentree, people who see it may determine your identity.

Usage Information: When you post or interact with Tangentrees, we collect information about these messages, including the time, date, feels, comments and author of the Tangentrees. We also collect information about the number of Tangentrees posted by each user.

Tangentree is based in the Philippines and the information we collect is governed by Philippine law. By accessing or using the Services or otherwise providing information to us, you consent to the processing and transfer of information in and to the Philippines and other countries.

With other users when you post a Tangentree, including your username and the contents of the Tangentree you post such as the comments. We also share your username with other users when they use our “Search” feature to follow you;

With users and others who view your profile, which includes only your username and display picture;

With vendors, consultants and other service providers who need access to such information to carry out work on our behalf;

In response to legal process or a request for information if we believe disclosure is in accordance with any applicable law, rule, or regulation, or as otherwise required by any applicable law, rule or regulation;
